There is certainly enough entertainment factor in this quote to justify using it for a post! It suggests so much about the speaker and their listener, too. Funny, just before I read this I was in a coffee shop discussing some personal things, reassured that the person sitting nearest to us had earbuds in. Then I thought, that would be a great writer’s strategy- to wear earbuds with no sound so you could really overhear the juicy stuff!
